Barbara Marie Smith, age 60, of Mount Morris, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home. In accordance with Barbara’s wishes cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will be planned by her children at a later date.
Barbara was born September 24th, 1955, in Marquette, Michigan. Barbara graduated Ainsworth High School and worked in retail for Value City and Big Lots. She married Billy Joe Smith and settled down to raise a family in Flint, Mi.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, reading and writing stories, puzzles and watching black & white movies. She also loved to collect knickknacks.
Left to cherish her memory are, her husband, Billy Joe Smith; son, Douglas (Meaghn) Smith; daughter, Lynn (Daniel) Burgess. Ten Grandchildren: Cheyenne, Aubrey, Hailey, Daniel, Madison, Gracie, Lily, Gabrielle, Jeremiah, and Caleb. Her Sister, Doreen Johnson, brother David Johnson; and her mother Geraldine Carter and many other family members and friends.
