Obituary of Wesley R. Harburn

Age 75, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home in Alger Michigan. The memorial service will take place 11:00 am Monday, December 21, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. In accordance with Wesley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Wesley’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am the time of service at 11:00 am. Wesley was born October 3, 1940 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and Josephine (Strobridge) Harburn. He and Joyce Mcintosh were united in marriage on November 11, 1974, in Pine Run, Michigan. Sadly she preceded him in death in 2007. Wesley worked for General Motors for 30 years. He and Joyce would travel all over Michigan in there RV and visited so many wonderful places. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed spending time with his family and living up north. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Scott Harburn, William and wife Jill Harburn, and Joannie Birdsall; step children, Dawn and husband Jerry Thayer, Gene Flint, and Debbie Flint; brother- in-law Bob Schaefer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Wesley was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Harburn; parents, step son Jim Flint; brother Gary Harburn and sister Sandra Schaefer.
