Obituary of Susan Miller

Susan Miller, age 63, of Flint died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth. The memorial service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Susan’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm; on Tuesday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. In accordance with Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Susan was born April 14, 1952, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frederick and Bonniegene (Rutledge) Wilson. Susan graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1970. She married her high school sweetheart John Miller on October 24, 1970, in Flint. Susan continued her education at Baker College earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, Flint Campus for 34 years until her retirement in March of 2015. In her free time, Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, riding motorcycles, traveling all over the United States, quilting and fishing. She was a long time member of the Harley Owners Group and the American Independent Motorcyclists (AIM). Left to cherish her memory, husband John; two grandchildren: Logan and Landon Miller; four siblings: Stephanie (Gale) Conarton, Frederick C. (Cathy) Wilson, Gregg (Patty) Wilson, and Karen (Scot) Coons; adopted daughter Donna Brantley; and many other family members and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents. Susan’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Karen Coons for all her love, care and support.
