Obituary of William "Bill" John Glady

Age 90, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at his home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. William’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm; then from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home for military honor service at 6:00 pm conducted by the Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post in Clio. On Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Bill was a member of the North Flushing Baptist Church. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II until receiving an honorable discharge. He retired from Chevrolet Truck Assembly with 36 years and Kmart after 20 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; sons: David (Janice) Glady, and Randy (Virginia) Glady; special daughter-in-law, Jennifer Glady; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorthy (Joe) Sheff; brothers-in-law, Richard Williamson, and Tom (Carol) Williamson; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his son Richard Glady and parents.
