Age 76, of Burton, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at her home. A Celebration of Catherine’s Life will take place at 12:00 noon, Thursday December 10, 2015, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Pastor Joel Stiff to officiate with cremation to follow. Catherine’s family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Catherine was born January 16, 1939, in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer and Catherine (Cronin) Sharp. She was educated locally graduating from Davison High School. She and William “Stan” Gruno were united in marriage on February 22, 1956 in Indiana. Catherine enjoyed bingo and going to the casino and she played on many bowling leagues. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are two children, Deborah Emigh and Bill and wife Lori Gruno; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband William “Stan” Gruno; her parents; siblings Cecelia, Lou, and Alfred; grandson Charles.
