Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015, surrounded by her family. Funeral service will take place Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 12:00 noon at at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Pastor JC Hager to officiate, with burial to follow in Thetford Twp. Cemetery. Pauline’s family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. on Friday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon.
Pauline was born in Sevierville, Tennessee on May 19, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Mary (Abbott) GodFrey. Pauline and Clarence Brown were united in marriage on December 20, 1965, and shared 36 years together. Pauline moved several times in her life making her way to Michigan in 1969 where she began working at general motors as an inspector for over 28 years. She was a member of UAW Local post #599. She volunteered for the Old Newsboys and The United Way of America she was always helping those in need. She enjoyed cooking for everyone those who knew her loved her and her cooking. She loved her family more than anything she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Aaron “Jay” and wife, Linda Odom, Paul Richardson, Steven “Bo” and wife, Lisa Richardson, Tonya and husband Jeff Alexander, and Clarence “Tripper” and wife Sharon Brown, Jodywayne and wife Angela Morrisey; 28 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren. Big thank you to her special daughter in caregiver Lori Leighton.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; parents; sons Ronnie and Gregg Richardson; grandson Lonnie Richardson; and brothers and sisters.
