I learned so much from you, what to wear, how to act, you even taught me how to drive. You always listened to me and gave the best advice. You knew me better than any other person in the world. I will profoundly miss talking with you. You were a beautiful person, a wonderful aunt, a great mother, a loving sister, but most of all, a true friend. I miss you so much already and can't even comprehend living the rest of my life without you. May God bless you and your husband and kids.

I will sadly miss my friend and co-worker. We had many laughs together during our lunches at the "taco joint". We loved our diet coke and chocolate together however we tried to give it up all the time!!! Of course our bumpy flight back from Washington DC we never spoke of it or shared with too many but it was memorable. Lori was always encouraging and seemed to have an answer or would figure it out with a smile! As I scrolled thru our last emails we mentioned wearing daisy dukes for jean day, our love for asthma camp and meeting more often face to face. Lori quietly and proudly boasted about her sons and husband. I always teased her about how much Mitch spoiled her but reminded her she deserved it. She was a proud Mom and excited to see her sons have families of their own. I will miss the calls to Lori for computer help, vents/rants, just because and of course camp meetings. My life is better because I knew her and called her my friend! Her desire to help children by mentoring, seek funding for 1 more kid to attend camp or buying socks for cold feet is inspiring. Many prayers were said for Lori during her extremely fast illness and now for her family and friends that must live without her.

Please accept my deepest condolences. Lori was a dear friend and partner in many projects over the years. She was always so patient with me and my impossible schedule. The children of Genesee County will really be missing a selfless advocate. She inspired me so many times and I vow to her memory that I will carry that inspiration to continue to advocate for children's health.
Sincerely,
Evilia
