Obituary of Lois Patterson (Koon)

Age 68, of Prescott, Michigan, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Rev. Michael McCluskey will officiate, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Lois’ family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Lois was born June 12, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Perry and Vera (Hocut) Koon. She and Denver Patterson were united in marriage on April 10, 1976, in Flint, Michigan. Lois was educated locally, graduating in 1966 from Mt. Morris High School. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She would spend most of her free time painting. Lois was a wonderful wholehearted woman who was willing to do anything for anyone and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 41 year’s Denver Patterson; children: Deborah and husband, Robert Alexander, Katherine and husband, Robert Ford, and Christopher and wife, Lisa Roth; brothers: Kenneth and wife, Michelle Koon, Richard and wife, Carol Koon; sisters: Deborah and husband, Jerry Smith, Roxanne and husband, Tracy Ross; brother-in-law, Ronald Hawley; grandchildren: Robert Alexander, Bobby Ford (Jen), Ashley Ford (Danny); great-grandchild Madelyn Ford; many nieces and nephews and her wonderful art buddies. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Roth, and sister Rosamond Hawley.
