Obituary of Vickey Lynn Butterworth

Vickey Lynn Butterworth, age 59, of Mt. Morris died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 3:00 pm Monday, September 14, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Pastor Hank Messing will officiate, with cremation to follow. Vickey’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Vickey was born July 24, 1956 in Flint. The daughter of Paul Perry and Virginia Torres. She and Timothy Butterworth were united in marriage on December 18, 1998 in Lucas County, Ohio. Vickey enjoyed cooking anything and everything but mostly Mexican food. She loved watching old shows and listening to old jazz and Motown. She was a very loving and supporting mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 16 years Timothy Butterworth, children Dennis Pennington; Scott Butterworth and girlfriend, Melinda Carpenter; Tim and wife, Kristen Butterworth; brother Brad Perry; sister, Pam Smythe and husband, Kenny; grandchildren Shane, Madeline, Parker, Tucker, Isaac and Ethan. Vickey was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Warda; mother, Virginia; step mother Mary; step sister Sharon; and grandparents.
