Age 66, of Flint died Monday, August 3, 2015. Funeral will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 7, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation, & Tribute Services in Genesee Township. Pastor Leonard Kitson will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Loretta’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm; Friday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Loretta was born April 18, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Glen and Alice Cynthia (Jubbar) Davis. Loretta graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1968. Shortly after high school, Loretta married her high school sweetheart, Joe Harvey, Sr. sadly, he preceded her in death on February 8, 1988. In November of 1988, Loretta married Clinton Collins, he also preceded her in death on December 4, 2006. She worked for the Flint Community School District as a Custodian for many years until retiring in 2008. In her free time, Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, baking, gambling and playing BINGO.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joe (Jennine) Harvey, two daughters: Cynthia (Steve) Terry and Anna Harvey; ten grandchildren: Kenneth Harvey, Amanda Harvey, Catherine and Donovan Duet, Angela Harvey, Christopher Jennings, Tayler Terry, Ashley Harvey, Korrie Harvey and Hannah LaPorte; eight great-grandchildren: Aylah, Carter, Aiden, Ellie, Annabelle, Rylie, Autumn, Addison and Russell; four sisters: Gertie Chouinard, Norma McMurphy, Barbara (Clair) Kitson and Janet (Don) Pollender.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Joe Harvey, Sr., son Wesley Earl Harvey and daughter Alice Sue Harvey, second husband Clinton Collins and three sisters: Arlene, Iris and Doris.
