Obituary of Vicky L. Rose

Vicky Rose, age 61, of Mt. Morris died Thursday, June 25, 2015 The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris; with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Vicky’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm then from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute in Flint. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Vicky was born September 8, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Donald and Elaine (Donahue) Rose. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1971. She married Raymond Stoick on August 24, 1980, in Flint. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2013. Vicky worked for Financial Plus Credit Union formerly West Side Credit Union as a Member Support Service Representative for 34 years. Vicky was a member of OPEIU Local #393 as Union Steward and held a chair on the Executive Board. Vicky enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, shopping on QVC, golfing and bowling, traveling Up North with her family and watching reality TV shows. She was also a huge U of M Football fan, Go BLUE! Left to cherish her memory are, two daughters: Kristen (Luke) Monahan and Tina (Kevin) Schultz; stepson Scott (Lori) Stoick and stepdaughter Shelly (Steve) King; five grandchildren: Roland and Josephine Monahan Jamie, Nicholas and Zachary Stoick; mother Elaine Rose, three siblings: David and Randy Rose and Patricia (Fred) Rappuhn; and many other family members and friends. Vicky was preceded in death by her father Donald and her ex-husband Raymond. Vicky’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her work family at Financial Plus Credit Union and to Debbie and Richard Schultz for all their love and support.
