Obituary of Wolfgang Pursche

Wolfgang G. Pursche (Wolfie) age 75 of Clio died Friday June 5, 2015. Visitation will be held at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris from 11 until 2 PM with memorial services following at 2 pm on June 11, 2015. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice. Wolf was born in Langwasser, East Germany, February 3, 1940. The son of Walter Pursche and Frieda Closter; he resided in Clio since 1970, coming from Flint Michigan and before that, Klixdorf, West Germany. He married Ruth Ruppel, April 30, 1966 in Flint Michigan. He attended St. Lawrence Church in Frankenmuth. Wolf was a mason, bricklayer, for 42 years and received his life gold card for belonging to the Union Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen for 50 years.Retiring in 2002, he spent much time in the upper peninsula hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling with his friends and family. He enjoyed making his own maple syrup and picking blueberries for pies and jams. Everywhere he went he made new friends, and was well liked by all. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Pursche, sons Kurt (and his wife Christina) Pursche of Chesaning and grandchildren Kurt II, Katrina, and Kristofer; Theodore Pursche; and granddaughter Amber (and her husband Leonard) Smith of Lake Station, Indiana, and four great-grand children Scerenity, Hayden, Bentley, and Jaslyn; and daughter Wendy (and her husband Tom) Bowen of Lapeer and grandchildren Kristen and Tommy. He is survived by his sister Waltraudt (and her husband Gregor)Moske of Germany, and brother Horst (and his wife Ursula) Pursche of Germany. He was preceeded in death by his parents and younger brother Helmut.
