Obituary of Irene Rose Lefler

Of Mt. Morris, age 95, died, Monday, June 1, 2015, at Pines of Lapeer. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Genesee Township. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Pines of Lapeer – Memory Care. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Irene was born September 20, 1919, in Hungary, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Terez (Kerekes) Sari. She and Lloyd Lefler were united in marriage on July 7, 1947. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 29, 2008. She spent her days traveling with her husband, playing euchre, and dancing. She belonged to the V.F.W post 4087 of Davison. Irene was a feisty lady and she will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish her memory is one daughter: Marlene Bolla; daughter-in-law: Becky Lefler; five grandchildren: Tony Lefler, Jason Lefler, Chris Olmstead, Vincent Aro, and Marlena Probst; five great-grandchildren: Trevor Olmstead, Gauge Lefler, Forrest Gauch, Harrison Lefler, and Weston Lefler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jimmy; son-in-law, John Bolla, and two brothers. Family would like to extend a thank you for the loving care by Pines Of Lapeer staff.
