Age 87 of Clio, died suddenly Monday, April 20, 2015, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, April 25, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau and Rev. Fr. Francis Faracci will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Dolores' family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tributes Services in Genesee Township on Friday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Friday evening family, friends and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, Dolores will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Mary Catholic School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Dolores was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 25, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Morency) Bracken. She and William "Bill" George were united in marriage on August 2, 1947, in Detroit. Dolores was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, where she volunteered in many capacities. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and doing crossword puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Bill; four children, Dan George (Susan), Lynn Neuberg (Larry), Kathee Gensheimer (Bob), and Michael George (Kyle Hawkins); five grandchildren, Jeffrey George (Kate), Matthew George (Kellie), Christine George (Lauren Rosenberg), Stacy Gensheimer and Isabella Neuberg; two great-grandchildren, Anna and Allie George; two sisters, Audrey Valchine and Gloria Ramaut; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Rev. Fr. Walter Bracken and Robert Bracken.
