Obituary of Dennis Doyle, Sr.

Dennis was born December 30, 1929, in Croswell, Michigan, son Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Catherine (Repondik) Doyle. Dennis retired from General Motors in 1989. He married Elizabeth Zauner on November 28, 1953; they had five children that Dennis cherished deeply. In addition to his family, one of Dennis greatest passion was coaching. He was the assistant coach for the Mt. Morris girl’s softball team and he was part of the 1984-85 state championship game. Dennis’ greatest honor was being inducted into the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 and in the Mt. Morris Hall of Fame in 2014. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Elizabeth (Liz), and his children Dennis, Jr., Peter and wife Connie, Alicia and husband Jim, and Martin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His parents, daughter Denise Gray, four brothers: Pat, Maitland, Bob, Cliff and Jack and four sisters: Margaret, Veronica, Donalda and Eleanor preceded Dennis in death. A memorial service will take place 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, with Rev. Fr. Bob Byrne officiating. Dennis’ family will be present to receive friends at church from 9:30 am until time of service at 12:00 noon.
