Obituary of Betty L. Lovely

Of Mt. Morris, age 77, died, Saturday, April 11, 2015, at her home, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday April 16, 2015, at Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Alan Duce will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Township, on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and again Thursday at the church from 12 noon until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Betty was born August 15, 1937, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry and Jaine (Payton) Gilbert. She and Allan R. Lovely were united in marriage August 8, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi. Sadly he preceded her in death on February 6, 2005. She spent her days traveling, cooking, baking, playing bunco and bowling. She taught Sunday school for Richfield Church of the Nazarene for 25 years and helped with Stephens Ministry. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Roy and wife, Ola Lovely, Terry Lovely, Ken Lovely, and Cindy and husband, Ray Quick; two brothers, Bill Gilbert, Gary Gilbert; two sisters, Jane Austin, and Pat Grisson, and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Scott Lyn Lovely, three brothers and three sister, and most recent brother, Floyd Gilbert.
