NANCY MARIE RUPPERT
Of Fairgrove, age 87, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Frankenmuth Lutheran Home.
Nancy was born August 31, 1921 in Fairgrove, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Helen E. (Winter) McCloy.
She and Malcolm Ruppert were united in marriage August 7, 1942 in Fairgrove, Michigan. Malcolm preceded her in death January 22, 2007.
Nancy graduated from Fairgrove High School. After receiving her teaching certificate from the County Normal School, she went on to teach at Argyle School and Hobert School in Gilford.
Nancy was a 4 H leader in Wisner for 30 years. She was a member of Fairgrove Presbyterian Church, a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Ladies Guild and sewing group. Nancy loved quilting, sewing, gardening and being involved with her family.
Surviving are her children; Richard and Lila Ruppert of Reese, Fred and Sheryl Ruppert of Caro, Phyllis and Loren Haag of Manassas, Virginia, and John Ruppert of Fairgrove. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, sister, Doris Nagy and brother, Cliff McCloy. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law Tammy Ruppert, grandson Dennis Ruppert, two sisters, and one brother.
The funeral service will take place 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church with Pastor Richard Lawther officiating and burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday June 2, 2009. On Wednesday Nancy will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:30AM until the time of service at 10:30AM. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church.
