Obituary of Patricia Ann Merry

Age 93 of Frankenmuth, formerly of Vassar, died Wednesday, April 9, 2015 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2015. Her son Patrick Merry will officiate with a private burial at Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service. Patricia was born November 16, 1921, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Cora (Dexter) McPeak. She and William "Benjamin" Merry were united in marriage on October 11, 1941. Patricia attended St. Mary's High School in Bay City, graduating with the class of 1940. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bridge, walking, and square dancing. Patricia was a self educated woman with a quest for new knowledge. She enjoyed and loved all people. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Coralynn and husband, Marv Grigg, Timothy and wife Ann Merry, Patrick and wife, Vickie Merry and Elizabeth and husband, Greg Aranyos and daughter in law Patricia Merry; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Ben; son, Dexter; sisters, Genevieve Bosse and Ada Jane Bristle and brothers, James McPeak and Richard McPeak.
