Obituary of Marjorie Faye Eveland (Partridge)

Age 91 of Clio died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, April 10, 2015, at North End Baptist Church. Pastor Ted Stephens will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Friday, Marjorie will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to North End Baptist Church or Clio Senior Center. Marjorie was born March 18, 1924, in Whittemore, Michigan, the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Bertha (Mason) Robinson. She was united in marriage to Joseph Gaspar. Marjorie was an active member of Riverdale Baptist Church and North End Baptist Church, where she volunteered in many ways. Marjorie was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for over 30 years and was also an active member at the Clio Senior Center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, knitting, playing bingo and gardening. Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Verna and husband, Raymond Maurer, Linda and husband, Dennis Snyder, and Janice and husband, Larry Carpenter; 11 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard and wife Ruth Robinson, and Donald and wife, Joanne Robinson; two sisters, Doris Lanham and Dorothy Gamber; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four husbands; granddaughter, Shane Elia; and sister, Beatrice Riley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Marjorie's church family and her many friends for all of their love and support; and to neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Gunn and Mr. and Mrs. Hunt for their help in so many ways.
