Obituary of Susan R. Prosser

Of Flushing, formerly of Mt. Morris, died, Sunday, at the age of 57, at McLaren Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Tony Chick will officiate. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Susan was born on October 19, 1957, to Wallace Jr. and Dolores (Hart) Rogers. Sue was raised and educated in Mt. Morris, graduating in 1975, from E.A.J. High School. In 1986, she married Dave Prosser spending the next 29 1/2 years doing just about everything together. She worked hard all her life, working as a waitress in a couple of local restaurants, Dr. Frazier's office, and finally, McLaren Health Plan. Left to cherish in her memory are her parents, Wallace and Dolores Rogers; husband, David J. Prosser II; son, Anthony J. Wells, son David J. Prosser III; brother, Daryl and wife, Gina Rogers; sister, Anne and husband, Dave Sheldon; the entire Prosser family and the entire Rogers family. Sue was a great wife and best friend, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend to many. Sue was preceded in death by her in laws, Jerry and Marilyn Prosser and five uncles. The Prosser family would like to extend a special thank you to I.C.U. staff at McLaren, Trysha, Shannon, and Chad; and all of the staff down at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida. Rest in Peace, the battle is over. You were truly one tough cookie.
