Obituary of Barbara Nell Tungl-Payne

Age 71, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, March 6, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Gary Gearhart will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday, from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to Brian Tungl for the care of Barbara's younger children. Barbara was born February 7, 1944, in Harrisburg, Illinois, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Hazel (Reed) Pankey. Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put others ahead of herself. She finished her career in office management and had a lifelong passion for decorating cakes. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Duane and wife Judith Devine, Vincent and wife, Lisa Devine, Barbie and husband Mike Wenzlick, Brian and wife, Tina Tungl, Tobi and wife, Melissa Tungl and Kristy Forgette; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy and husband, Robert Treadwell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant son, Tony Tungl.
