Obituary of Gloria Daly

Age 77 of Clio, Michigan and Lake Placid, Florida, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at Somers House in Sebring, Florida. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Gloria was born November 7, 1937, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrald and Beatrice (Daniels) Hethorn. She and David Daly were united in marriage on April 16, 1955. Gloria worked for many years as the bookkeeper for Shorts Roofing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, traveling, and doing crafts. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steve Daly, Shawn and husband, Dan King, Lori and husband, Jack Potes and David and wife, Connie Daly; seven grandchildren, Christine Vickerman, Steve Daly, Ryan Potes, Matthew King, Michael Potes, Melissa King and Taylor Daly; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, one brother, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; one sister and two brothers.
