Age 70, of Mt. Morris died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Fostrian Nursing Home of Flushing. The funeral service will take place 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Todd Regester will officiate with cremation to follow. Sam’s family will be present to receive friends at church from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the church. Sam was born September 1, 1944, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Hugo and Grace (Pace) Brackrog. He married Janet Littell on May 29, 1979, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Phillip worked for Buick for 36 years until retiring in 2000 and was a member of UAW Local #599. In his free time Phillip enjoyed golfing, camping and bowling. Left to cherish his memory, wife Janet; three sons: Mike (Melanie) Brackrog, Brian Brackrog and Ben (Rebecca) Lasley; four grandchildren; brother Hugo (Rita) Brackrog and sister Glenda Malan and many other family members and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.
