Obituary of Larry Raymond

Larry Raymond, age 79, of Clio died Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Birch Run Township Cemetery. Larry’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Larry was born January 29, 1935, in West Branch, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Albert and Gladys (Walters) Raymond. He married Agnes Husen on February 25, 1965, at Saginaw. Sadly she preceded him in death after 41 years of marriage on January 2, 2009. Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War until receiving his honorable discharge. He worked for General Motors for many years until retiring in the early 1990’s. He was a long time member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Centennial Aerie #3646 in West Branch. Larry enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends at Indian Lake, Michigan. Left to cherish his memory are, three children: Merlin, Vernard and Rebecca Raymond; nephew Mark (Linda) Raymond; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jennie Raymond and many other family members and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Agnes, brother Joe and her sister Margie.
