Obituary of Rosann Marie DuRussel

Age 84, of Vassar died Thursday, December 11, 2014, at St. Mary's of Michigan of Medical Center in Saginaw. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, December 15, 2014, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 316 Division St., Vassar; with burial to follow in Tuscola Township Cemetery. Rosann’s family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home – Vassar on Sunday, December 14, 2014, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Monday, Rosann will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family that will be donated to several of Rosann’s favorite charities. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Rosann was born February 22, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter Mr. & Mrs. Frank and Anna (Kerlosky) Benkert. She married Dale H. DuRussel on October 9, 1965. She worked for Lufkin Rule Company in Saginaw, Michigan for 15 years until her retirement in 1965. Rosann loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, crossword puzzles and word searches, golfing, going to the casino with the girls, and shopping. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Dale H. DuRussel; four children: Dale J. (Pam) DuRussel, Douglas P. (Pam Arant) DuRussel, Rebecca S. DuRussel and Daniel J. (Brenda) DuRussel; three grandchildren: Jacob, Victoria and Vincent DuRussel; two brothers: Carl (Joyce) Benkert and Daniel Benkert; sister-in-law, Nancy Benkert and many other family members and friends. Rosann was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Frank and Joe Benkert, sister Magdalene and her sister-in-law, Pat Benkert.
