Obituary of Patricia Orr

Patricia L. Orr, age 87, of Freeland, formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Jeff Walsh will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Patricia’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice of Bay City. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Patricia was born August 11, 1927, in Virginia, Minnesota, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd and Clara (Vatsvog) Lilly. Patricia graduated from Flint Northern High School, Class of 1945. She was employed by Michigan Bell as an Equipment Sales Associate for many years until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Flint. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, baking and creating Gingerbread houses. Left to cherish her memory, three children: Michael and wife, Darla Orr, John and wife, Judy Orr and Sally Lange; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Clifford Lawrence and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Lawrence; brother, Bill Lilly; grandson, Patrick Orr; long time friend, Lou Beamer and her former husband, Gus Orr.
