Lucille Ella Berry, age 92, of Genesee died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center of Grand Blanc. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with cremation to follow. Lucille’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Genesee United Methodist Church Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Lucille was born April 5, 1922, in East Tawas, Michigan, the daughter Mr. & Mrs. Harry and Minnie (Wayhon) Thompson. She married Calvin Berry on July 12, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan; sadly he preceded in death on July 15, 2011. In her free time Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking, traveling and watching sports on TV.
Left to cherish her memory two sons; Michael and wife Diane Berry and James and wife, Helen Berry; granddaughter, Laura Berry; and her sister Nina Thompson;
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin; three sisters, Leona Huggler, Florence Demlow and Fern Carlson.
