Obituary of William Blase Stiglich
STIGLICH, William Blase
Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Friday, October 10, 2014, at 3:20am in his home surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place 2:00pm Monday, October 13, 2014 at Martin Funeral, Cremation, & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Family will be present at the funeral home Monday from 11:00am until time of service at 2:00pm, with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Boy Scouts of America-Water & Woods Counsel or Genesis Cancer Care Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
William was born August 26, 1934, in Clifford, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaz and Anna (Malnar) Stiglich. He graduated from North Branch High School with the class of 1953. William and Norma Jean Brownrigg were united in marriage June 20, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. He worked as an engineer for Buick Motor Division, retiring in 1991; and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent DePaul, Boy Scouts of America, the Flint Rock and Gem Club, and the Michigan Bee Association.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Norma Jean; children: Timothy and wife, Roxanna Stiglich, Loretta and husband, Juan Reyes, Thomas and wife, Julie Stiglich, Brian and wife, Michelle Stiglich, and Jeffrey Stiglich and spouse, Nisar Naimi, and Theodore and wife, Kelly Stiglich; grandchildren: April, Tony, Erika, Alyssa, Cody, Emily, Chalsey, Jared, Gabriel, Jamie, Josh, Nick, and Kayla; step-grandchildren; Zack, Sabrina, Melissa, Matt, Heather, and Brett; nine great-grandchildren; brother Roy and wife Barbara Stiglich and sister Marian and husband Richard Smith.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Blaz and Anna Stiglich; brothers, Leon, Robert and Anthony; and sister, Elizabeth (Betty).
