Obituary of Donna Rae Harcz

Age 60, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Flint. Pastor Steven Lockman will officiate with cremation to follow. Donna's family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Wednesday, from 11:00am to 8:00pm. On Thursday morning, Donna will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Emanuel Lutheran Memorial Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Donna was born September 21, 1954, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Alvina (Kroll) Bartz. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1972. Donna and Gregory Harcz met in high school and were united in marriage in 1975. Donna was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, camping, canoeing, and loved going to rummage sales. Donna was a kind, hardworking, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her children always came first to her. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 39 years, Gregory Harcz, three children; Jody and husband, Jose Feliciano, Deanna Harcz, Julie and husband, Andrew Lane, three grandchildren; Jude Feliciano, Paz Feliciano, Paloma Feliciano, mother; Alvina (Kroll) Scherman, brothers and sisters; Allen and wife, April Bartz, Dean and wife, Tammy Bartz, Delores and husband, Val Nowak. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Herman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to good friend, Sue Hect.
