Obituary of Henrietta F. Vargo

Age 91, of Gilford, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The funeral will be take place 1:00 pm, Friday, September 26, 2014, at Martin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Gilford Township Cemetery; Pastor Penny Parkin and Pastor Daniel Gonder concelebrating. Henrietta’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions the family discretion. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Henrietta was born April 4, 1923, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry & Amelia (Arndts) Meinecke. She married William Vargo on June 7, 1941. Sadly he preceded her in death on June 2, 1990. Henrietta worked as a baker for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and quilting. Left to cherish her memory, two daughters: Amelia Ann Schury and Carol Wahl; two brothers Jack and Hank Meinecke; six grandsons: William, Robert, Carl and Tobias Vargo and Peter and Michael Schury; 10 great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandsons; her dog, Zoey and special neighbor Mike Walter. Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, two sons: William H. and Richard, four sisters: Amelia Perry, Geraldine Sukerikoff, Dorothy Campbell and Mildred Coon and two brothers: Robert and Harold Meinecke.
