Obituary of Diane Bayeh

of Mt. Morris Township, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at home. A Memorial Mass will take place, 11:00 am, Friday, September 12, 2014, at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Pierre Bassil will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the church on Friday, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Envelopes are available at the church. Diane was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David and Mary Nickola. She is a graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1960. She lived in the Beecher Community for over 65 years. Diane was owner and operator of Diane Mobile Homes and served as Mt. Morris Township Trustee from 1996-2008 and Mt. Morris Township Treasurer from 2008-2012. Diane was instrumental in helping establish the Genesee County Paramedic Program, was on the Beecher Community Development Council, GAIN Auto Theft Board of Directors, participated in several Mt. Morris Township Block Clubs, was the Township Board Liaison for the Mt. Morris Township Police Department. She was also a former Mt. Morris Township Planning Committee Member. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, fashion and rescuing animals. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Vikki Bayeh Haley and son-in-law, Pat Haley; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Danielle, and Jacob; sister, Anne Nickola; brother, John Nickola and wife, Barb Meaner; and several nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Valley; brother, David Nickola; and beloved dog, Gypsy. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jolena Sanders; Hasna Ghantous; Yvette Ghantous; Dr. Edward Gomez; Dr. Yaseen Hashish, Dr. Sergio Ponze and the many others who were with her this past month.
