Obituary of Kenneth Foether
Kenneth Foether, age 66, of Burton died Friday, September 5, 2014. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, in Mount Morris; Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating with cremation to follow. Kenneth’s family will be present at the funeral home on Monday, to receive friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Area 13 Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI). Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born July 8, 1948, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Verne and Phyllis (Bailey) Foether. He was a long time member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Area 13 Special Olympics Michigan. Kenneth was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, bowling and swimming, watching westerns and comedies and spending time at the family cottage.
Left to cherish his memory, brother, Kirk (Mei) Foether; sister, Kathleen Caldwell; two nieces: Mei-Luan Foether and Amy (John) Starkel; two nephews: Philip (Angela) Yurk and Paul (Amber) Jurk; many great-nieces and great-nephews; special cousins, Rod and Karen McKinnis and many other family members and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and great-nephew Brenden Hopkinson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Hurley 5C Burn Unit for their exceptional care, friendship, and love they showed Kenneth.
