Obituary of Lois Jean Stutso

Lois Jean Stutso, age 79, of Clio died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at her home. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, July 17, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Lois’ family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive friends from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Thursday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
Lois was born November 7, 1934 in Clinchco, Virginia, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Stewart and Nannie (Newberry) Smith. She married Leonard Stutso on July 4, 1952, in West Virginia. Sadly Leonard preceded her in death on September 15, 1996. She worked as a switchboard operator for Michigan Bell in the 1950’s. She would then become a Mail Carrier for the United States Post Office for 22 years until retiring in 1994. In her free time Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the casino, listening to country music, making Sunday dinners and having holiday gatherings for her entire family.
Left to cherish her memory are, four children, Michael (Laura) Stutso, Thomas (Jeanne) Stutso, David (Angela) Stutso and Stephanie (Brett) Smith; 12 grandchildren, Andrea Lamorand, Joseph, Anthony and Brent Stutso, Yasmine Issa, Amanda Garrison, Scott Perez, Brianna, Christopher and Nicholas Stutso, Megan and Ethan Smith; five great-grandchildren, Isabella and Victoria Lamorand, Anaya Garrison, Julian and Jude Perez; and many other family members and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, son Larry, two brothers Chalmer and Joe Smith and her sister Pauline Umberger.
