Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 100, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Grand Blanc Rehabilitation Care Facility. The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Jay Gantz will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Friday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Blanc Rehab and Nursing Center Activity Department, Genesys Hospice, or Charity of Choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Rene was born January 3, 1909 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Nellie Weiderhold. Rene and George L. Bundy were united in marriage June 25, 1927 in Mt. Morris. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara and husband Mike (Harpo) Evans, son, Douglas Bundy, son, Danny and wife Linda Bundy, son, Richard and wife Lee Bundy, son, Donald and wife Mary Bundy and son-in-law, Roy Garner special friend, Jean, granddaughter, Patti, special granddaughter, Valerie, 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. When ReneAaas health became fragile, she moved to Grand Blanc Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in 2000, where she made a new life for herself. She got involved in all activities, made many new friends and became known as AaA"Mrs. Hollywood.AaA The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the activity department, the entire staff, and family council, and for giving our mother a AaA"wonderful quality of life,AaA for many years. In addition, they would also like to thank Genesys Hospice for their loving care. Rene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, daughter, Peggy Garner, daughter-in-law, Lori Bundy, grandson, Kurt Bundy, and 9 siblings.
