Obituary of Marjorie "Marge" A. Huggler

Age 92 of Genesee, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Rev. Karen Williams will officiate, with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to Genesee United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marge was born September 23, 1921, in Alpena, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Malvena (Paquin) Aikens. She and Andrew "Andy" Huggler were united in marriage on September 12, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. She was an active member at Genesee United Methodist Church. Marge also was a Genesee Lioness and a member of the Flint Power Squadron Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Bonnie and husband, David Horsfield and Doris Hipps; four grandchildren, Shannon and husband, Jasan Bryan, Stacy and husband, Tom Wilson, Keir and wife, Kim Horsfield and Erik Horsfield; seven great-grandchildren, Maddy, Ally, Ava, Connor, Brook, Brantly and Katie; sister, Florence Aikens; brother, Lloyd and wife, Beverly Aikens; dear friend, Donna Stremple and several nieces and nephews. She was reunited in heaven with her parents; husband, Andy; and son-in-law, Bill Hipps. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and caregivers at Genesys Regional Medical Center and members of the Genesee United Methodist Church.
