Obituary of Irene Rozell

age 95, of Flint, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at Jacob's Ladder in Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Irene was born on July 3, 1918, in Lowell, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Anna (Aubert) Balcom. She and Jim Rozell were united in marriage in 1938, in Lowell, Michigan. Irene went to work at A.C. Spark Plug working for 30 years, until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the UAW # 651. Irene was a devoted wife, mom and grandma, who enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting and ceramics. Left to cherish her memory are four children, Jim and Jan Rozell, Raymond Rozell and Evelyn, Judy and Doug Weible and Carol Dean; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two, brothers, Bob and Jerry McCaul; two sisters, Nettie Rosenthal and Margie McCaul; and many nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; son, Frank; daughter-in-law, Judy; son-in-law, Ernie; and several brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Vicky and Carol from Jacob's Ladder and Heartland Hospice for the loving care given to Irene.
