Dear Judy and Family:\
So sorry to hear about your mom. It seems like yesterday when we worked together and had lots of laughs. (Anniversary lunch at Wally's-oh to be that naive). You and Dave had a good giggle over that! I hope you and the kids are doing great and life is good!\

Dear Uncle Bennie, Judy, Bonnie, Jackie & Danny,\
I'm saddened to hear of Aunt Evelyn's passing and I pray for God's peace and comfort for you all. I have many wonderful memories from those summers in Cumberland and one of my favorites is how Aunt Ev always liked to pinch our cheeks-she'd tweak 'em pretty good too Aaa and I remember one day my brother Dave and I were at the farm. We knew you all were coming to town so we were on the lookout, watching and waiting to see your car coming down the gravel road and pull into the driveway. Dave and I were talking about whether Auntie Ev was gonna pinch our cheeks like she did the last time. Then we got to talking about how much that smarts. Sure enough, about that time here you all come down the road. Dave and I ended up hightailing it up a tree to avoid getting pinched. We stayed up there a while and then figured we couldn't stay there forever so down we came. As we were walking to the house Dave wondered out loud whether Aunt Ev would maybe forget the cheek-pinching this time. She didn't. And it stung. \
\
My thoughts and prayers are with you.\

Best,\

Dear Zappa Family,\
\
I was saddened today to learn of the death of my friend Evelyn. During the many years I knew Evelyn she was a warm and generous person; ready to help at a moment's notice. She was the "matriarch" of the Beecher Fire Department and surrounding community and was always willing to help those of us who ran "Operation Christmas Basket" at Mount Morris Township for over 10 years. Our community needs more people like Evelyn. Even in the face of her own health issues she always helped others.\
\
I learned of her passing while spending the winter in Arizona and am sorry I can not attend her funeral.\
\
My best to all her family; especially Chief Zappa. Bennie, you are always chief in my mind- Beecher Fire Dept. wouldn't have become the department it is today without your past leadership.\
\
My prayers are with you all and with your angel in heaven, dear Evelyn.\
\
Sincerely,\
Cheryl Azelton\
