Of Mt. Morris, age 81, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Brian's House - Davison. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Pastor Mark Conn will officiate with burial to follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. ErmaleeAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. On Thursday, Ermalee will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Ermalee was born August 5, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius and Julia (Blake) Sero. She and Flodie Turbeville were united in marriage August 10, 1946 in Flint. They were married for 40 years. Flodie preceded her in death on January 11, 1987. Ermalee retired from A/C Spark Plug in 1976.
Ermalee enjoyed spending time with her family, needle work, crocheting and ceramics.
Ermalee leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Doris and husband Tim Shoens; six grandchildren, Mike and wife Sheila Shoens, Kim and husband Gary Pillow, Tim and wife Angie Shoens, Jason and wife Heather Shoens, Tracy and husband John Margis, Sara Turbeville; 17 great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Lucy Sero; two special nieces, Barb Perry and Sandy Shriner.
Ermalee was preceded in death by her parents, husband Flodie, two sons Flodie Jr., Kenneth Sero, sister Doris, and two brothers Sonny, and Junior.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the social workers at McLaren Hospital, Hospice Nurses at Brian's House. Chaplin Goodie, and many Doctors and Nurses for their care.
