Obituary of Eleanor M. Summers

Of Owosso, age 87, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. EleanorAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1:00pm until 9:00pm, and on Monday, from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Eleanor was born February 28, 1923 in Mundy Township, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Amy (Taylor) Dawe. She married Trenton Summers in 1951. He preceded her in death in 1992. Eleanor and her husband Trenton helped establish the Foundation of Life Church. Eleanor leaves to cherish her memory five children; Diana(Ronald) Vaughn, Shirley (Ronald) Friend, Peggy Jo (Frank) Ardelean, Jeanette (Rande) Lake, Terry (Mike) Drimby; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Sides and several nieces nephews and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Trenton, son, Glenn Summers and two brothers, Don and Bill Dawe.
