Obituary of Irving Robert Jewett

Of Clio, age 86, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at BrianAaas House - Davison. IrvingAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 12:00noon until 8:00pm.The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with cremation to follow. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a charity of choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Irving was born September 23, 1923 in Mt. Morris, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Ida (Packer) Jewett. He and Alice Gasser were united in marriage December 23, 1966 in Flint. Irving worked at Buick for 34 years before retiring in 1979. Irving was a member of UAW Local #599, and a lifetime member of VFW Post #4087. Irving enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and attending Polka festivals.
Irving leaves to cherish his memory wife, Alice; two children, Nancy and husband, David Taljonick, and Russ and wife, Kathy McAtee; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; brother Jack Jewett; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Irving was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Marion Jewett, and nephew, David Jewett.
