Obituary of Marie Ramsden

Age 101 of Fairgrove, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. Funeral Service will take place 10:00am, Saturday, at the Martin Funeral Home Aa" Fairgrove, with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. MarieAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Saturday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice; envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marie was born April 16, 1908 in Akron, Michigan the daughter of John and Ida (Gustafson) Gilbert. She attended Akron High School graduation in 1926. She then attended Grace Hospital Nurses School for 3 years, graduating as a Registered Nurse. She married Richard G. Ramsden on April 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. He predeceased her on July 31, 1980. She worked at Saginaw General Hospital for several years before retiring in 1973. Marie was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Tuscola County. In her free time, Marie could be found playing euchre, bridge, sewing and spending time with her family. Marie leaves to cherish her memory son, Dick (Irene) Ramsden and daughter, Dolores (Don) Wolverton, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, sister, Miriam Deming, brother, Jack Gilbert, many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Grace and Frances.
