Obituary of Raymond Ford

Of Genesee Township, age 80, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. The funeral service will take place 10:00am, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00noon until 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Junior was born May 3, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess and Emma (Lapine) Ford.
He proudly served the United States Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. Later, he worked for Complete Hitch until he retired.
Junior leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Violet and husband, Bill Lawrence, Raymond and wife, Janis Ford, and John Ford; 11 grandchildren, Billy, Sonny, Marci, Mike, Jesse, John Ray, Samantha, Danielle, John, Autumn, and Summer; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lester Ford; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Patricia; and four brothers.
