I knew Cathy all during my career as a contract software engineer, starting in 1993 at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids IA. She was a valuable friend and colleague. Her loss makes the world seem a little smaller now. \ \ Cathy came from a family of German heritage. Her academic accomplishments were important to her; they include an MA from Michigan State University (biostatistics and psychology) and a BA from the University of Chicago (mathematics and psychology).\

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Cathy's passing. Cathy and I have been talking to one another since 1992 about jobs in the Software industry. I first placed Cathy @ Rockwell Collins in 1993 and later on in years @ Northrop Grumman, Azusa\ and General Dynamics in both Woodbridge, VA and Sterling Heights, MI. I also had the pleasure of meeting her and having dinner with her when she worked in Rhode Island with Raytheon. We had a lovely dinner in Newport with a few other contractors and myself and a couple of others from my company. I have to say that even though we were business associates, I felt as though I had lost a friend. We have had so many conversations over the years at length about everything. I know she loved her cat and was very upset over the death of her brother. I will genuinely miss hearing her voice and having the opportunity to chat with her. . my deepest condolences to her family.\ Christine Bregoli/New Era Recruiting, Pembroke, MA.

Cathy and I met at the Boeing Company in Seattle, Wa., in November 1987. I last worked with Cathy in October 2008. She worked until 2009. After the layoffs at Boeing in 1991-1992, Cathy worked as a contract software engineer, and I then did the same.\ \ Cathy flew across the country to be at my wedding in Eatonville, Wa. On my husband's birthday in March 2008, Cathy drove all the way from north of Seattle to Eatonville to attend the party.\ \ While Cathy and I were on opposite sides of issues of politics and religion, Cathy always reached out to be a friend to me and to many others. I am very sorry to hear of her passing away alone. She will always be remembered by me and my family.
