Of Frankenmuth, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 94, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at her home. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, January 10, 2014, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the great grandchildren. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born August 14, 1919, in Brant, MI. She is the daughter of the late Elmer and Coraline (Wright) Cheney. She and William J. Bennett where married on September 28, 1937, in Mt. Morris. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 21, 1987. In her free time Dorothy loved to garden, watch the birds, and spend time with her great grandchildren.
