Of Clio, age 80, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at his home. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Mr. Garfield Cooper will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. ClairAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, from 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm.
Clair was born November 22, 1929 in Parkersburg, West Virginia the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burt and Freida (Smith) Dennis. He and Ruby Hoalcraft were united in marriage in 1952. She preceded him in death February 26, 2008. Clair worked for CJ Rogers Construction Company where he constructed most of the highways in Michigan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his free time he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, listening to country music, and dancing.
Clair is survived by his daughter, Alberta (William) Sims, 6 stepchildren and their spouses, 86 grandchildren , 21 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby, son Darrell, and four stepchildren.
