Obituary of Michael Raymond Minterfering

Of Mt. Morris, age 61, passed away, Friday, July 2, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Tuesday from 12:00noon until time of service at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Old Newsboys. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Michael was born March 7, 1949 in Flint, Michigan the son of Evelyn (Katzur) Minterfering. He and Vicki Alexander were united in marriage March 29, 1997 in Clio. Mike worked at Chevy in the Hole for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the UAW #659. He was a dedicated member of the Avengers Motorcycle Club and loved to ride his Harley and spoil his pets. Mike leaves to cherish his memory his wife Vicki, seven children, Joe and wife Lori Minterfering, Michalle and husband Todd Jean, Vicki Lyn Alexander and Colen Jinks, Katrina Alexander and Rich Tackebury, Missy and husband Lowell Presler, Tammy Rising, and Tia Freeman, twelve grandchildren, John, Brittany, Angela, Levi, Justin, Michael, Tarin, Anthony, Samantha, Lily, Amiya, and Melody, special niece, Dawn Alexander, two sisters, Janet Black and Nancy Pacheco, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son James, granddaughter Joanie, and mother Evelyn.
