Obituary of Mary Himmelbrand

Of Vassar, age 65, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her home. The Mass of Catholic Burial will take place Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth. Father Bob Byrne will officiate with cremation to follow. Mary will be taken to lie in state on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 12:00noon until the time of Mass at 1:00pm. The family kindly requests no flower donations. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Mary was born June 5, 1945 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph and Velma (Hartman) Zucker. She and Dennis Stanley Bonkowski were united in marriage September 16, 2001. Mary was active in Blessed Trinity Catholic Church as the Mass Assistant and was always there to help with whatever needed to be done. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of nine years, Dennis; two sons, Jeremiah, and Thaddeus and wife, Anne; four grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Grace, and Samuel; father, Rudolph; sister, Eleanor; and one niece and three nephews, Kathy, Scott, Brian, and Chris. She was preceded in death by her mother and late husband, Everett.
