Of Mt. Morris, age 91, became an angel of God on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Avalon Hospice of Flint. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will take place, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 am at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Avalon Hospice--Birds & Fish Fund or Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Barbara was born November 3, 1918 in Oxford, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Flossie (Wileden) Mathieson. BarbaraAaas first husband, Robert E. Willett, and only son, James, predeceased her. Barbara then married Lyle R. Ackler on February 19, 1977, and they spent 33 wonderful years together.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lyle of Mt. Morris; daughters, Kaye and the late Marvin E. Armstrong of Mt. Morris, Connie and Tom Behm of Blanchard; stepchildren, Gary and Jan Ackler of Clio, Donna and Jim Skinner of Millington, Darlene and Francis Leeck of Montrose, Norman and Terry Ackler of Clio; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
