Obituary of Lisa Marie McElrath

Of Mt. Morris, age 45, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. LisaAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, 9:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions to the family for the future Lisa Marie McElrath Scholarship Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lisa was born April 23, 1965 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Janet (Schlieger) Simonye. She and John E. McElrath were united in marriage September 13, 1986 in Flint. Lisa was a graduated from U of M Aaa Flint with a BachelorAaas Degree in Education. She taught 4th and 5th grades at the International Academy of Flint. Lisa enjoyed spending time with family and friends, teaching, traveling, reading, gardening and going to the casinos. Lisa leaves to cherish her memory husband, John; three children, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Joshua McElrath; mother, Janet Simonye; two brothers, Larry and wife Ruth Simonye, and Kevin and wife Viki Simonye and their two children, Faith and Caleb; mother-in-law, Mildred McElrath; grandmother, Dorthea Simonye; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry W. Simonye; father-in-law, Donald McElrath.
