Obituary of Pedro G. Perez

Of Flint, age 78, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint. Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Wednesday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. On Thursday morning, Pedro will be taken to church, where he will lie in state from 10:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be considered to the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and the church. Pedro was born February 14, 1932 in Beeville, Texas the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gomecindo and Fernanda (Gonzales) Perez. He and Gloria Trevino were united in marriage December 1, 1962 in Flint. He worked for Erickson and Lindstrom Construction Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Laborers Local 1075 in Flint. Pedro leaves to cherish his memory his wife Gloria, four children, Roberto and wife Kathy Perez, Rachel and husband Joseph Pascuzzo, David Perez and DeAnne Jones, and Patricia and husband Todd Hartley, nine grandchildren, Robert Anthony, Sarah Joan, Jessica and husband Eric, Gregory Stephen, and Stacy Bowen, Isabel, Hope Emily, Lily, Quinn, and Eva, brothers and sisters, Jacinta and husband Ricardo Quintanilla, Gomecindo and wife Dominga Perez, Lucio Perez, Cornelio Perez, Narcissa Vasquez, Otilia Brank, Ricardo and wife Helen Perez, and Andres and wife Yolanda Perez, special friends Anne and Maribeth, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brothers, nieces and nephews.
